Mo-Wet, real name Shanta Nicole, was born and raised on the eastside of Detroit (Across Jefferson).  She fell in love with music at a tender age and started writing music and poems at age 13. "Puff fa Me" song explains a little about her. Old school R&B/Hip Hop was her inspiration (2Pac, Slick Rick, Lauren Hill, Temptations, Eminem just to name a few).  

 

 

She was a customer service agent at Northwest Airlines (10 yrs) Delta Airlines (2yrs) after the merge. There is where she sold her first LP Album “Through The Eyes of Mo-Wet“  to many of her co-worker friends/supporters in 2004/2005 along with family and friends she grew up with..... 

She also performed at the Majestic Theatre in Detroit where she earned an ASCAP AWARD for UnSigned Artist. She also wrote Phedamine which won an award from Akademia in 2018

 

 

In 2009, Mo-Wet left Northwest/Delta Airlines, birthed one ready made actress and two ready made actors, which inspired her to start working again.
